Revelation 2:29
King James Version
29 He that hath an ear, let him hear
what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
We now come to Revelation chapter 2.
Here are the verses Spirit led me to take note of:
Jesus hates the deeds, and doctrine, of the Nicolaitans.
Revelation 2:6
King James Version
6 But this thou hast,
that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitanes,
which I also hate.
Revelation 2:15
King James Version
15 So hast thou also them
that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitanes,
which thing I hate.
The tree of life is in the midst of the paradise of God.
If we overcome, we get to eat of the tree of life.
Revelation 2:7
King James Version
7 He that hath an ear,
let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches;
To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life,
which is in the midst of the paradise of God.
The tree of life was also spoken of in the Book of Genesis.
Genesis 2:9
King James Version
9 And out of the ground made the Lord God
to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight,
and good for food;
the tree of life also in the midst of the garden,
and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
The tree of life was also made mention on the last chapter of Revelation.
Revelation 22:1-2
King James Version
22 And he shewed me a pure river of water of life,
clear as crystal,
proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.
2 In the midst of the street of it,
and on either side of the river,
was there the tree of life,
which bare twelve manner of fruits,
and yielded her fruit every month:
and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
Jesus speaks about Satan.
"the synagogue of Satan"
Revelation 2:9
King James Version
9 I know thy works,
and tribulation,
and poverty,
(but thou art rich)
and I know the blasphemy of them
which say they are Jews,
and are not,
but are the synagogue of Satan.
"where Satan's seat is"
"where Satan dwelleth"
Revelation 2:13
King James Version
13 I know thy works,
and where thou dwellest,
even where Satan's seat is:
and thou holdest fast my name,
and hast not denied my faith,
even in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr,
who was slain among you,
where Satan dwelleth.
"the depths of Satan"
Revelation 2:24
King James Version
24 But unto you I say,
and unto the rest in Thyatira,
as many as have not this doctrine,
and which have not known the depths of Satan,
as they speak;
I will put upon you none other burden.
Jesus spoke of the "second death".
Revelation 2:11
King James Version
11 He that hath an ear,
let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches;
He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.
Jesus warns the church of "that woman Jezebel".
Revelation 2:20-22
King James Version
20 Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee,
because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel,
which calleth herself a prophetess,
to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication,
and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.
21 And I gave her space to repent of her fornication;
and she repented not.
22 Behold,
I will cast her into a bed,
and them that commit adultery with her
into great tribulation,
except they repent of their deeds.
Jesus searches our hearts, and rewards us accordingly.
Revelation 2:23
King James Version
23 And I will kill her children with death;
and all the churches shall know that I am he
which searcheth the reins and hearts:
and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.
The Lord talks about giving "the morning star" to those who overcome.
Revelation 2:28
King James Version
28 And I will give him the morning star.
Jesus is known to be the morning star.
Revelation 22:16
King James Version
16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you
these things in the churches.
I am the root and the offspring of David,
and the bright and morning star.
